Todd Miller’s new book ‘Carved in Stone’ is an absolute MUST have for any brass player.
Carved In Stone documents the life, career, and playing and teaching techniques of horn player Vincent DeRosa, the world-renowned recording artist. • A review of DeRosa’s personal life.
• DeRosa’s career (including a historical perspective of the
Los Angeles recording industry and his impact and
influence on it).
• A concise and direct description and analysis of his playing
and teaching methods including insights into both technique and musicianship.
• Appendices, exercises, and photographs

This book is the result of a number of years of research including over 60 interviews with DeRosa, his colleagues, and former students, as well as numerous print resources. It should provide invaluable information to all brass instrumentalists, not just horn players.

Carved in Stone is an extraordinary and well-deserved tribute to Vincent DeRosa and his contributions to the music world.

I’ve just returned from the N.E. workshop in Delaware. It was quite a fun show with amazing talent everywhere!
This week I head off to Oklahoma, and next week to Mississippi! Along the way I’ve picked up a lot of other horns to sell, both new and used.

The new Vienna Horns CD: “Director’s Cut” has just arrived! I have a limited number of these for sale.
If you’ve heard their other recordings you’ll know why this ensemble is one of the best in the world. They do amazing things – and they do them on Vienna Horns!
You’ll notice that I’m experiencing some updates to my website – and that many of the pictures of the items are missing – but they are here in the shop!

I expect to see ALL of you at the symposium this year. Next year it’s in Australia, so you won’t have another chance until 2011~!
